About ARES
Technical depth without technology theater.
ARES was formed in South Carolina in 2026 to bring disciplined technology leadership to organizations operating across technical, operational, security, and management boundaries.
Why ARES exists
Bridge strategy and execution.
Many difficult technology problems are not purely technical. They sit between architecture and budget, security and usability, vendors and operators, program plans and what can actually be implemented.
ARES exists to work in that gap: understand the operating problem, define a credible technical path, and help carry the decision through execution with clear accountability.
Evidence before assertion.
Separate facts from assumptions, expose dependencies, and avoid claiming more maturity than the evidence supports.
Technology has to survive operations.
Prefer maintainable architectures, explicit tradeoffs, and implementation paths that organizations can actually operate.
Optimize for durable capability.
Treat mission, customers, employees, capital, and long-term enterprise health as part of the decision.
Representative leadership experience
More than two decades across military and enterprise technology environments.
Founder & Managing Member Richard (Randy) Sharpe brings more than two decades of enterprise technology and operational leadership spanning military service and Fortune 100 telecommunications.
Representative experience includes technology modernization, cloud transformation, telecommunications operations, cybersecurity governance, vendor management, executive stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional execution.
Important: this is leadership experience, not a representation of ARES company-level contract past performance.
Operating perspective
Built for services today and long-term stewardship over time.
ARES is a technology services and solutions company with a long-term operating perspective. In addition to direct technical work, the company evaluates opportunities to acquire and steward established technology-enabled businesses where disciplined ownership can strengthen the operation over time.
That ownership perspective is intentionally secondary on this website. It matters because it shapes how ARES thinks about reliability, operating burden, people, customers, capital, and the difference between a slide-deck solution and a durable one.
